Deciding to have a family trip!
I decide to plan a family trip to Japan, especially Kyoto, this Spring. I have traveled abroad with my mom several times, but never with my dad. My brother once took him to Fukuoka, and as soon as he landed back in Korea, he started venting about how tough it was to take my dad with him. For me, it was really hillarious to see him moaning on and on, but I truly understand how challenging traveling with my dad must be. So making up my mind to travel with my dad definitely takes a bit of courage. Finally in 2025, my mom, my brother and I decide to have a family trip to Kyoto with DAD!
Draft the itinerary
First we need to book a flight. My brother is an expert on this matter, so he took care of booking the flights to Osaka. He also reserved the Hotel. Now it is my turn to map out the itinerary.
One. Dad wants to visit a traditional market. Technically, Nisiki market is not the kind of traditional market he has in mind, but I've included it anyway.
Two. Mom and I want to visit Nijo castle again.
Three. This time, not to Arashiyama nor Fusimi Inari Shrine.
Four. Mom needs to be fed reguarly on time, but Kyoto is famous for long queues.
As our trip is really short, only 2 nights 3 days. I cannot squeez everything in. So made our itinerary to be a bit more relaxed.
